Li Shugang, a native of Beijing, has devoted decades to the research and practice of traditional Chinese folk arts and crafts. He is a senior inheritor and front-line craftsman of Cloisonné Making Technique, a national intangible cultural heritage of China. Having been passionate about traditional art since childhood, he has long dedicated himself to the study, practical operation, refinement and inheritance of ancient cloisonné craftsmanship. Proficient in the complete traditional production procedures including tire making, wire inlay, filigree crafting, enamel filling, high-temperature firing, polishing and gilding, he possesses solid professional skills and an in-depth understanding of the technical standards and aesthetic system of traditional royal cloisonné art.
李书刚，北京人，深耕传统民间工艺美术领域数十年，是中国非物质文化遗产景泰蓝制作技艺资深传承人与一线从业匠人。自幼热爱传统艺术，长期专注景泰蓝古法技艺学习、实操、打磨与传承，熟练掌握景泰蓝从制胎、掐丝、花丝、点蓝、烧蓝、磨光到镀金的全套传统制作工序，功底扎实、技艺娴熟，深谙传统皇家景泰蓝的工艺标准与审美体系。
While adhering to orthodox ancient craftsmanship, Li Shugang has long focused on craft innovation and integrated development, serving as a core practitioner in the innovation of cloisonné enamel-filling techniques and the international dissemination of cloisonné art. Breaking the rigid creation mode of purely following ancient rules, he explores innovative and integrated artistic approaches based on the essence of traditional craftsmanship. He integrates diverse traditional Chinese folk craft techniques and aesthetic expressions to enrich the patterns, glaze layers and sculptural presentation of cloisonné works. Meanwhile, he absorbs international artistic elements and modern design concepts, breaking the industry limitations of outdated themes, rigid styles and conservative aesthetics of traditional cloisonné, enabling this ancient royal craft to adapt to contemporary aesthetics and international cultural exchange scenarios.

Li Shugang’s core artistic advantages lie in his innovative upgrades of enamel-filling techniques and glaze color presentation. As the soul of cloisonné craftsmanship, enamel filling directly determines the color hierarchy, delicacy and overall temperament of a work. Traditional enamel filling adopts flat coloring with single tones, thin layers and rigid visual effects. With decades of practical exploration, Li Shugang has improved traditional enamel-filling methods and optimized the techniques of glazing, layer control, color matching and firing. By layered glazing, multiple firing procedures and refined color control, he achieves natural and soft color transitions with rich and delicate layers, effectively enhancing the three-dimensional sense, transparency and overall artistic texture of cloisonné works.

In terms of creation and design, he adheres to the philosophy of “upholding tradition without rigid adherence to the old, and pursuing innovation without abandoning the origin”. He strictly follows ancient craft standards and preserves the dignified charm and traditional essence of royal cloisonné craftsmanship. At the same time, he breaks the limitations of traditional shapes, patterns and colors, integrates modern minimalist design and international aesthetic concepts, and frees the ancient intangible craft from temporal restrictions, making it highly suitable for contemporary interior decoration, art exhibitions and cross-border cultural exchanges.

The Five‑Blessings Embracing‑Longevity Lidded Box with Carrying Handle is crafted with cloisonné technique. It takes red copper as the body base, uses copper wires to form decorative patterns, and is fired with enamel glazes. Modelled after a traditional food‑serving vessel, its carrying handle is shaped like a ruyi sceptre. Decorated with classic motifs including five‑blessings‑embracing‑longevity, auspicious cloud and longevity peach, the piece carries auspicious wishes for good fortune, blessings arriving before one’s eyes, as well as abundant happiness and longevity.
《五福捧寿提梁盒》采用景泰蓝工艺制作，以紫铜为胎，铜丝作纹样，珐琅釉烧制而成。造型为传统食用器型，如意化作提手。图案装饰采用传统纹样五福捧寿、祥云、寿桃等，有福运、福在眼前，多福多寿的美好祝福。
