Cloisonné, formally named Copper-Tire Wire-Inlaid Enamel, is a unique and precious traditional Chinese composite craft art. It integrates sophisticated metal forging, painting, sculpture, high-temperature firing, polishing and gold-plating techniques, ranking among China’s Four Great Traditional Arts and known as the “Top of Hundred Crafts”. Originating in the Yuan Dynasty and flourishing in the Jingtai reign of the Ming Dynasty, it has a heritage of more than 600 years. Exclusive to the royal court during the Ming and Qing dynasties, it carries the profound aesthetic heritage and ingenuity of ancient Eastern craftsmanship.
景泰蓝，学名为铜胎掐丝珐琅，是中国独有的传统复合型工艺美术瑰宝，融汇精密金属锻造工艺与天然珐琅釉料烧制技艺，集冶金、绘画、雕塑、烧制、抛光、镀金等多重工艺于一体，被誉为“中华四大国艺”之一、“百工之冠”。该技艺溯源元代，兴盛于明代景泰年间，因御用宝石蓝釉色纯正华贵、工艺臻于巅峰，故而得名“景泰蓝”，距今已有六百余年传承历史，曾为明清两代宫廷专属御用工艺，承载着千年东方匠心与皇家美学底蕴。
The production of cloisonné involves an extremely rigorous and elaborate process with 108 refined procedures, including tire making, wire inlay, enamel filling, repeated high-temperature firing, grinding and gilding. Artisans adopt pure copper as the base, bend hair-thin copper wires manually to outline patterns, fill natural enamel glaze layer by layer, and conduct multiple rounds of firing and fine polishing. The finished works feature bright and mild colors, three-dimensional and vivid patterns, and a strong sense of texture, boasting extremely high artistic and collection value. In 2006, Cloisonné Making Technique was officially included in the first batch of National Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative Lists approved by the State Council, serving as a core cultural symbol of traditional Chinese crafts and a vital carrier for Sino-foreign cultural exchanges.
景泰蓝制作流程繁复严苛，全程包含制胎、掐丝、点蓝、烧蓝、磨光、镀金等一百零八道精细工序，道道考究、环环相扣。匠人以纯铜为胎，手工弯折细如发丝的铜丝勾勒纹样，逐层填充天然珐琅釉料，经多次高温反复烧制、精细打磨、鎏金抛光，最终形成色泽温润璀璨、纹样立体灵动、质感浑厚典雅的艺术成品，兼具金属的硬朗质感与珐琅的温润光泽，艺术价值与收藏价值极高。2006年，景泰蓝制作技艺经国务院批准，列入首批国家级非物质文化遗产代表性项目名录，是中华传统工艺文化的核心名片之一，也是中外文化交流的重要艺术载体。
Li Dadong, born in Beijing in 1981, is a distinguished representative inheritor of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage “Cloisonné Making Technique” and an outstanding craftsman in Beijing’s arts and crafts industry. With over 20 years of in-depth dedication to the intangible cultural heritage field, he has long been committed to the inheritance, creation, teaching and promotion of traditional cloisonné craftsmanship.
李大冬，1981年生于北京，深耕非遗领域二十载，是国家级非物质文化遗产“景泰蓝制作技艺”资深代表性传承人、北京工艺美术行业骨干匠人。自幼浸润传统工艺美术文化，深耕景泰蓝技艺传承、创作、教学与文化推广领域，自2006年正式投身景泰蓝非遗行业以来，始终坚守古法匠心，潜心钻研传统技艺精髓，同时结合当代审美与传播理念，突破传统工艺传播壁垒，致力于让古老景泰蓝技艺走出工坊、走向大众、走向国际。
Since formally engaging in the cloisonné industry in 2006, Li Dadong has strictly adhered to ancient craftsmanship standards, devoted himself to studying the essence of traditional techniques, and integrated contemporary aesthetics and innovative design concepts. He optimizes traditional patterns and glaze color matching, balances classical charm and modern appreciation, and has formed a unique creation style. His excellent craftsmanship and outstanding industry contributions have won wide recognition. He was awarded the prestigious honor of “Master Craftsman of Beijing” in 2021 and titled Advanced Individual of Beijing Arts and Crafts Industry in 2024, fully affirming his professional attainments and dedication to heritage causes.

Standing at 53.7cm in height, the cloisonné work Great Wall Vase adopts a steady square copper body. The four sides of the vase are hollowed out and decorated with patterns. The main pattern depicts the magnificent Great Wall winding through towering mountains, presenting a grand and extraordinary momentum. Four kinds of auspicious flowers are painted on the upper mouth: lotus symbolizes the prosperity of the motherland, wintersweet represents noble character, sunflower stands for popular support, and peach means everlasting happiness. The vase body is decorated with Great Wall textures, implying the firmness of Chinese territory and national prosperity. This work was collected by the CPC History Museum in 2021.
景泰蓝《长城瓶》净高53.7厘米，采用方正稳重大气的四方铜胎器型。瓶身四面开光，主画面雕琢万里长城蜿蜒于崇山峻岭之间，山势雄浑、长城壮阔，如龙盘踞，气势磅礴，尽显华夏山河之巍峨。瓶口小幅纹饰精绘四种吉祥花卉，莲花颂祖国盛世、红梅喻高洁风骨、向日葵象征民心所向、寿桃寓意幸福绵长。器身点缀长城城墙纹理，寓意华夏江山稳固、国泰民安、基业长青。该作品于2021年被中国共产党历史展览馆正式收藏。

This innovative irregular cloisonné ornament breaks traditional vase shapes. Designed with natural branch and folded flower modeling, it presents a vivid and elegant natural charm. The patterns are handmade with fine copper filigree. Adopting partial polishing instead of overall grinding, the work raises the difficulty of enamel filling and repeated firing, fully demonstrating exquisite craftsmanship. With soft and elegant pink tone as the main color, the work captures the vibrant and romantic atmosphere of spring, integrating traditional intangible craftsmanship with modern aesthetic appreciation.
作品为创意异型景泰蓝花卉摆件，突破传统器型范式，以自然树枝形态为瓶体原型，搭配折枝花卉造型，虚实相生、灵动自然。瓶身纹样采用纯手工花丝掐制工艺，摒弃整体打磨工艺，仅做精细抛光处理，极大提升了点蓝、多层烧蓝的工艺难度，尽显匠人功底。作品整体采用温柔雅致的粉色系釉料配色，凝练春日繁花初绽、生机盎然的唯美意境，将春日浪漫与温润雅致定格于非遗工艺之中，适配现代空间审美。

Taking traditional Chinese hot pot as the prototype, this work is an innovative integration of cloisonné craftsmanship and folk culture. Breaking the limitations of traditional craft shapes, it combines daily folk utensils with high-end intangible cultural heritage techniques, featuring a simple, round and well-proportioned shape. The body patterns are completed through handmade filigree inlay, multi-layer enamel filling and repeated high-temperature firing with delicate polishing. As a traditional symbol of reunion and harmony, the hot pot is recreated with classic craftsmanship, inheriting ancient ingenuity and endowing traditional folk culture with contemporary artistic vitality.
作品以中式传统火锅为创作原型，是景泰蓝工艺与民俗文化融合的创新力作。摒弃传统器物造型束缚，将日常民俗器物与高端非遗工艺相结合，造型古朴圆润、比例协调。瓶身纹饰采用手工花丝掐制、多层点蓝、高温反复烧制工艺，保留细腻抛光质感，工艺精细繁复。火锅承载着团圆、温热、和睦的中华民俗寓意，作品以非遗技艺复刻民俗经典，既传承古法匠心，又赋予传统民俗文化全新的艺术表达与时代活力。

Square Gu (Overlooking All Directions) is a large-scale antique cloisonné ritual vessel made of high-quality red copper. Adopting the classic ancient Gu shape with a flared mouth, square bulging waist and outward splayed square base, the work is tall, dignified and magnificent. The four corners are exquisitely decorated with copper chiseling techniques. The whole body is carved with regular interlocking dragon patterns, and the middle waist is decorated with auspicious elephant and dragon patterns with rich layers and symmetrical layout. Integrating ancient ritual vessel shape and traditional cloisonné craftsmanship, the work symbolizes broad mind, solid foundation and full auspiciousness, combining ancient ritual culture with modern artistic charm.
《四方孤（傲视四方）》为大型仿古景泰蓝礼器，采用优质紫铜为胎，器型复刻经典古觚形制，喇叭口、方鼓腰、外撇方底，器型挺拔高大、端庄雄浑、气场恢宏。器物四角采用錾铜工艺精细装饰，通体上下雕琢繁复规整的拐子龙纹，中部鼓腰位置搭配祥瑞象纹与龙纹组合纹样，纹样层次丰富、对称规整。作品融古制礼器形制与非遗掐丝珐琅技艺于一体，寓意胸怀天地、傲视四方、基业稳固、祥瑞满堂，兼具古典礼制底蕴与现代艺术气场。
